For Immediate Release: Contact: Brenda Mizgorski Philadelphia, PA. -- September 21, 1998 -- MBA students from The Wharton School have launched MBA ZoNe, "the complete Web site resource and online community for all phases of the MBA experience". Three classmates brought MBA ZoNe online during their first year of study at Wharton. "You can only learn so much in the classroom. We decided to apply what we learned at Wharton first-hand, exercise our entrepreneurial skills and help fellow MBA students at the same time", explains President/Founder Brenda Mizgorski. As MBA students they realized the need for a comprehensive website and virtual community for MBAs. The concept evolved into a single location on the web for prospective MBA students, current MBA students and MBA alumni. "There is so much information scattered all over the web, we knew we could create value by synthesizing and indexing website resources of interest for MBAs. The Internet has become an essential tool to every MBA. A one-stop shop like MBA ZoNe reduces the time MBA-minded users spend searching the Internet endlessly for relevant information." MBA ZoNe started by indexing information that was relevant to prospective and current MBA students. Currently it has over 1,500 indexed website links among its 27 sections. The community recently added discussion forums. One of the discussion forums is hosted by an exclusive alliance partner, MBA Strategies, a well-known consulting firm that advises applicants on the best strategies for getting into the top business schools. MBA ZoNe is working with other companies to create alliances that are beneficial to its members. In addition, it is building its website to provide a much needed service to its community by encouraging, fostering and hosting MBA student-driven content such as first-hand stories, student interviews and surveys for school projects. started by indexing information that was relevant to prospective and current MBA students. The number of Zonies in the MBA ZoNe community is in the thousands at last count and is growing rapidly. MBA ZoNe is online at www.mbazone.com. ### |
